Aston Martin’s DB11 grand tourer has everything, performance, style, luxury and class. Back in 2018 however, Aston Martin took things one step further by making a special one off that is possibly the fanciest DB11 Volante in existence. This is the DB11 Volante Henley Royal Regetta edition.
So, the story behind this one off is quite interesting. Q by Aston Martin (Aston Martin’s customization division) would make this special DB11 Volante to celebrate Aston Martin’s partnership with Henley Royal Regatta. What is Henley Royal Regetta? Well, it’s basically a prestigious rowing event held every year in London so Aston Martin knew they had to make something special for that occasion, the DB11 Volante Henley Royal Regatta edition is the result.
The exterior of this DB11 Volante is finished in a special color called White Stone by Q, which is a sparkling white shade that stands out especially in the sunlight. The car’s interior has primary red leather and pale blue stitching and accents. There are also several carbon fiber bits inside because why not, as well as other unique touches on this DB11 like two crossed oars being placed next to the “Q by Aston Martin” logo.
Aston Martin would display this DB11 Volante at the Henley Royal Regatta event, after which the car was put up for sale for $264,000. As far as I know, the DB11 Volante Henley Royal Regatta hasn’t been seen at any event after it was bought and I also haven’t found any information on where the car currently is, which isn’t exactly surprising as most one offs tend to be bought or commissioned by private collectors.
Still, this DB11 Volante is a unique piece of Aston Martin history and I think Q by Aston Martin have done an excellent job here with the spec and overall rowing theme, a fitting tribute for the celebration of a partnership between a prestigious event and a luxury car manufacturer.
