Lamborghini has unveiled the Performante version of the Urus SE and it looks like a beast. Just like the Urus SE, the SE Performante is a hybrid with a 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 engine and an electric motor. With 801 horsepower, 1000 nm torque and increased aerodynamic efficiency, the SE Performante is easily one of the most impressive super SUVs when it comes to performance.
The SE Performante can reach a top speed of 312 kmph, making it the fastest Urus ever. It also can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.3 seconds. Just like the previous Urus Performante, you have plenty of carbon fiber elements to make the car lighter (much needed, considering the added weight thanks to the hybrid system).
I think the two visible carbon fiber vents on the hood look nicer compared to the full carbon hood the earlier Urus Performante offered so that’s a plus for me. With the double rear spoilers, front grill style, carbon bits, SE headlight style and overall design I think the Urus SE Performante looks more menacing visually, again a plus for me. The interior is similar to the standard Urus SE but with a more driver focused style that represents the theme of the Performante.
The super SUV segment is one that continues to thrive, as these cars offer track level performance combined with everyday comfort and usability, making them great for doing a variety of things which wouldn’t be as easy to do with traditional sports cars or supercars such as off-road tours.
The Urus is the car credited for starting the modern super SUV segment and is Lamborghini’s bestselling car in their entire lineup. With the Urus SE Performante, Lamborghini have once again raised the bar for the segment altogether and other manufacturers are going to have to put in some effort to catch up to them.
