Configuring The New Bentley Bentayga Speed

Bentley have just brought in their most powerful Bentayga yet. Powered by a new twin-turbo V8 engine, the new Bentayga Speed reaches up to 650 horsepower, a significant increase compared to the earlier Bentayga Speed’s 6.0 liter W12 engine which gave around 626 horsepower.

Bentley are known for blending luxury and performance together in their cars and the Bentayga Speed is just one of many examples of what I mean. Now there is plenty of customization you can do for this car and I haven’t done a configuration for a car in a while now, so I figured why not do just that.

Moving on to the configuration starting with the exterior paint job, I decided to go with Quartzite, which is a sporty silver shade that was first introduced with the Bentley Continental Supersports back in 2009. For the wheels we have Bentley’s new Dynamic Specification 23” option exclusive to the Speed variant with the black painted rims instead of the default silver ones to give it more of a stealth look.

For the interior, I stuck with Bentley’s default “Color Split Speed” configuration option that is offered for the Bentayga Speed. The main color of the seats is a darker red shade that Bentley calls Cricket Ball, with a contrasting beige shade called Portland being used for parts of the interior as well as all stitching including the “Speed” emblem that is stitched on each seat. I feel the dark red interior actually works pretty well with the silver exterior as it makes the car look sporty but not overly aggressive.

The Bentley Bentayga like most of the other Bentleys, has a number of variants intended for different purposes and the Speed V8 is for exactly what the name says, speed. And by speed, Bentley pretty much made a rocket in the form of a big SUV. I mean to go from 0-100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds and reach up to 310 kmph is something impressive indeed.

Now not everyone would be into the more aggressive high-performance SUVs like the Lamborghini Urus Performante for example and that is where the Bentayga Speed comes in. It provides a proper performance SUV experience but at the same time, it remains luxurious and classy just like a Bentley should be.
