Brabus are a company well known for tuning and making numerous kits for Mercedes cars, especially the G63 AMG with the level of modification depending on the tuning and the kits being used. Once in a while, Brabus will offer exclusive and powerful modified cars which are often limited in numbers such as the insane 900 Rocket Edition for the G63 AMG.
As you might guess from the name, the car’s power is boosted to 900 hp by putting in a Brabus 900 twin-turbo V8 that replaces the standard 577 hp V8 AMG engine. There are a couple of carbon pieces added onto the car and several other aerodynamic parts including a literal wing on the roof which stands out even further because of the bright red paint on the edges. In fact, there are bits all over the car painted bright red, including a red line on the tires much like in Pirelli tires that are used by high-performance or track-oriented Ferraris.
While black and gray are the signature colors for the 900 Rocket Edition, Brabus does allow owners to configure and create their specs individually if they want, so there are a couple of examples in different colors out there.
The interior is also fully customized by Brabus with red accents and stitching all over, even most of the steering wheel including the Mercedes logo on there is red. You can make out the Brabus 900 Rocket Edition is quite something even by Brabus standards and all in all it’s probably one of the most insane modifications one could have possibly gotten for the G63 AMG with all the performance and aerodynamic changes that Brabus have done to this car.
Since Brabus only made 25 of these 900 Rocket Editions and considering it was launched a few years ago, it’s safe to presume they have all been sold since.
While tuners and kit makers like Brabus can be controversial with their designs, there is no question that when it comes to enhancing performance they can really go all out like in this case. The concept of limited edition modified luxury or supercars has also seemingly become more widespread now so it wouldn’t be surprising if Brabus will also make limited edition models more often.
