The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni edition is another car I used to race with a lot in video games back in the day, more specifically NFS Hot Pursuit. It was actually one of my favorite cars to use in the game in the racer mode both because of speed and how beautiful it looked in the famous Arancio Borealis orange paint.
Even though it looks like a simple striped Gallardo, it is actually a pretty special car. It was named after Valentino Balboni, who was their chief test driver for a number of years. The Gallardo Valentino Balboni is an extremely rare variant of the Gallardo, being limited to just 250 units. The car is powered by a 542 HP V10 engine and can reach a top speed of 320 kmph, it is also the only rear wheel drive variant of Gallardo produced making the Valentino Balboni edition an even more valuable collector’s car.
The Lamborghini Gallardo is a car which I have always liked because of the style of it and how iconic this car is and this includes its variants like this one which have their own specialties. Interestingly favorite color on the Gallardo is actually green, but orange is my favorite for the Valentino Balboni edition just because I like the combination with the white stripe.
The Gallardo Valentino Balboni edition is definitely one of the true enthusiasts supercars, there weren’t many rear wheel drive Lamborghinis at the time so it was a desirable car back then and still is today.
