Rimac Nevera – Fastest Electric Hypercar

This post is about the Rimac Nevera which is an electric hypercar that was launched recently and has become a successful, record breaking car. Turns out it’s a car with a pretty interesting backstory behind it as well.

Unlike most of the supercar makers from the world, Rimac are from Croatia which is quite unusual place for a supercar maker considering there isn’t too much of a supercar scene there. Seeing the arrival of electric supercars was just beginning, Rimac made use of this trend with the idea of making something that had not really been done until then, an electric hypercar. Additionally with the goal to make it the fastest electric car ever.

With this is mind, Rimac ended up creating the concept and prototype for the Nevera known at the time as the C_Two which after being developed, was unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The C_Two then would undergo extensive private testing before being ultimately revealed and launched under the name Nevera in 2022.

Obviously the Rimac Nevera was tested many times with the goal of being the fastest electric car ever and in November 2022 it finally happened, the Nevera broke the record for the fastest electric car ever reaching a top speed of 412 kmph which also makes it one of the fastest hypercars. Considering Rimac didn’t really have much experience making supercars or hypercars asides from a few concepts before the Nevera, it’s amazing they pulled it off.

Rimac who until then were a mostly unknown Croatian car maker trying to make the fastest electric hypercar, have suddenly become famous worldwide for this epic achievement with the Rimac Nevera. That is also amazing.

Besides the unbelievable performance of the Nevera, even the design looks good and you can easily make out the hypercar looks of the Nevera. Now the Rimac Nevera will become a production hypercar with a total of just 150 units planned to be produced so the chances of finding one on the roads are extremely rare.

Rimac have done some pretty epic things already when it comes to electric hypercars by creating the Nevera which not only is the best electric hypercar as of right now but also one of the best hypercars and EVs ever created. I cant wait to see what else Rimac will bring in the future.
