Porsche have been doing huge updates of their lineup lately, with cars like the Cayenne and Taycan getting major changes. The 911 too is getting an update in 2025 and while there are significant changes for certain models of the 911 such as the addition of hybrids as well as the normal GT3 being discontinued for the time being, GT3 fans need not worry because the GT3 RS and it’s naturally aspirated flat-six engine are very much staying in the lineup.

In fact, the 2025 GT3 RS only gets incremental upgrades and slight cosmetic and style changes while keeping almost all of the other core features of the original 992 GT3 RS.

There barely are any pictures of the 2025 GT3 RS at the moment, but production and bookings for customers have clearly started as the 2025 models including the GT3 RS are all listed on Porsche configurator and It’s also a pretty good occasion to showcase the new updated configurator and Paint to Sample selection, so I will be creating a car.

This example I’m showing has the Paint to Sample Malachite Green Metallic shade, black painted wheels and it also features the Weissach package which is an optional package that adds even more performance to the GT3 RS for the racetrack, the addition of carbon fiber to several parts including the hood as well several interior changes.

The GT3 RS will continue as the top end track variant of the 911 lineup, with the special edition 911 S/T being the most powerful road oriented 911 currently in production.
