It is time to move on the final part of my “Three Elements” series inspired by the three elemental powers of RPG games where I try to find supercars that I feel are most suited to representing each of the respective elements. Having covered the elements of fire and ice, now it is the turn of lightning.
When you think of lightning you think of absolute power and speed and it only feels right to pick the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 for this, considering Sian literally means “lightning” in Bolognese. In case you were wondering, the FKP 37 part stands for the initials and birth year of Ferdinand Karl Piech, a former CEO of the Volkswagen Group.
The Lamborghini Sian definitely lives up to its name, with a lightning fast acceleration of 0-100 kmph in 2.9 seconds and total top speed of 355 kmph. The Sian is also the first hybrid powered Lamborghini, with a 48V electric motor combined with a 6.5 liter V12 engine to make around 808 horsepower.
It is also one of the most exclusive Lamborghinis out there. Only 63 units of the Sian FKP 37 were produced, the Sian Roadster version is even rarer with only 19 units. The Sian regardless of how it may look represents the element of lightning very well but if you ask me to choose an individual example within the model that I find looks the most suitable, I’d have to pick none other than the launch spec itself.
The launch spec comes in a special “electric gold” paint job that really gives that electric feel to it. The carbon accents and golden painted alloy wheel rims add to that electric sort of look even more and is perfect for a car that is named after lightning.
Being a hybrid, one of the rarest Lamborghinis out there and a hypercar that is literally named after lightning in another language thanks to its speed and looks, the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 is going to be my personal pick for the element of lightning.
