Ferrari have just brought in a new replacement for the Roma, their entry level model. The new Ferrari Amalfi, named after the beautiful Amalfi Coast region of Italy, in brings in multiple changes. First, the Amalfi gets a near 20 horsepower increase with a 631 hp twin-turbo V8 compared to the earlier 612 hp engine used in the Roma.
Then you have a couple of changes done to the exterior. The front bumper is different, the grid shaped grill that was used on the Roma has been removed and it comes with new front lights that look quite similar to those used on the SF90 or Purosangue. The Amalfi’s front looks clean and simple in a good way, almost reminds me of the style of early 2010s front engine Ferraris like the California or the F12 Berlinetta. The Amalfi also comes in a new launch color called Verde Costiera.
The car would also receive multiple interior changes such as a new steering wheel that brings back physical buttons as well a new infotainment system. There is another additional good news for those Ferrari owners who own newer models that have the electronic touch button system but aren’t happy with it, as Ferrari now offer owners the option to do a replacement of the electronic touch systems on the steering wheel with physical buttons. This upgrade can be done on the 296, SF90, Purosangue and 12Cilindri models at any Ferrari dealer.
There have been mixed feelings on Amalfi when it comes to its name as its basically a facelifted Roma and while that is true, it is also not the first time Ferrari have done something like this since it was basically the same thing with the California and California T, though the name difference was literally a single letter added in that case.
I actually find these simpler looking Ferraris are very underrated (The F12 Berlinetta for example) and the fact the Amalfi has gone with a more classic style while keeping a modern touch gives it even more appeal for me personally.
