Porsche Macan – Porsche’s Small But Quick SUV

Another Porsche post, but it’s about a completely different car to the GT1. It’s about the Porsche Macan, the small but quick super SUV.

The Porsche Macan is the smallest SUV Porsche offers, the Cayenne being of larger size. It has several variants ranging from the basic Macan to the Macan GTS. The Macan GTS has 395 horsepower and reaches a top speed of 255 kmph making it one quick SUV for its size

The Macan has become one of Porsche’s most successful cars, reaching sales over the 20,000 mark worldwide last year.  It’s a pretty solid package for those who want a more affordable Porsche SUV that still remains quick and surprisingly powerful.

I think the Porsche Macan is an underrated SUV. Despite the Macan being one of Porsche’s most successful cars in terms of sales and having the performance you expect from a Porsche, many don’t pay attention to it simply because of it’s larger and even more popular version, the Cayenne.

Recently Porsche announced an electric version of the Macan, making it the first of Porsche’s already existing line up of cars to have an electric version. This electric Macan will be starting production later this year. Seeing the success of the Porsche Taycan, the electric Macan will likely follow in it’s footsteps.
