Aston Martin’s flagship V12 supercar has returned with the launch of the new 2025 Vanquish. The Vanquish comes with a mighty 824 horsepower twin-turbo V12 engine and has an estimated top speed of 343 kmph, making it the most powerful and fastest non limited supercar in Aston Martin’s history. Seeing the Vanquish’s performance stats, it looks like it has been brought in as competitor to Ferrari’s 12 Cilindri, which was also launched this year back in May.
The Vanquish is the successor of the DBS Superleggera and for some reason which at least I am not sure of, Aston Martin seems to be alternating between the DBS and Vanquish names for their flagship supercar, as the car they had before the DBS Superleggera was also called the Vanquish.
With the new Vanquish going to be Aston Martin’s flagship supercar for at least a couple years and knowing Aston Martin’s previous track record, one can expect a Volante/convertible version and a couple of special editions to come in the future.
A lot has changed with the Vanquish in terms of the looks. The rear light LEDs are much like those seen in the limited edition Valour except they are put together in a unique formation, the front grill is also a lot bigger compared to the earlier Vanquish and is in a slightly different style with the horizontal lines being much more prominent than the vertical ones. The Vanquish keeps in line with the typical Aston Martin style but continues with the powerful and slightly more aggressive stance seen in most of the modern Aston Martins.
It’s pretty clear Aston Martin had some big things planned when they teased “All Will Be Vanquished” on all their social media platforms and when you keep in mind several things such as AM continuing on with the mighty V12 engine in a time where the majority of manufacturers have been moving towards hybrids, keeping in line with the traditional looks while fitting in the modern aggressive styling but most importantly being the most powerful non limited supercar Aston Martin has ever made until now, I think it’s safe to say that the 2025 Vanquish has exceeded or rather shall we say, vanquished the expectations.
It’s clear to me that Aston Martin’s latest flagship has already made a big impression and I’m sure will continue make a great impact for a long time to come.
